A Labour of Love
Like many of you, my introduction to James Bond was through the movies. In my case, this was a visit to the local Odeon cinema with my mother to watch Octopussy at the age of five.
In my early teens I discovered Ian Fleming's novels, and that is when I morphed from a Bond fan into a Bond obsessive. In those days before the internet, the sex and violence and exotic adventure made an indelible mark on my impressionable mind.
After re-reading Fleming's books many times, I worked through John Gardner's commendable continuity series, and later the Raymond Benson novels. I still get a buzz of excitement when it is announced that William Boyd or Anthony Horowitz is writing another story.
With this website, I want to share my passion for the literary Bond with you. I will explore the novels, the non-fiction books, bring you the latest news, and offer my own thoughts in blog pieces.
If you enjoy the website, please share it with your fellow Bond fans, comment on my posts, or drop me a line and tell me what you think.
In the meantime, I will enjoy exploring the written world of Bond and bringing you fresh new content. As Rosa Klebb would say, it's a real labour of love.
