For Your Eyes Only - Cape 1st ed/1st print - original unclipped DJ, excellent condition
A Cape first edition, first print (1960) copy of For Your Eyes Only, by Ian Fleming.
The book is presented in its original, unclipped dust-jacket (price 15s. net) and is from a private collection (not ex-Library).
The book itself is in excellent condition. The pages are bright, crisp and uncreased, with just a few spots of foxing across p196-197. There are no inscriptions. The binding is solid with no lean, the boards are clean, and the gold lettering on the spine and white eye are very bright.
The dust-jacket is also in very good condition for its age, with no tears and lovely bright red lettering down the spine. Most copies I've seen have a faded spine. The only blemish to the jacket is some numbers have been written above Ian Fleming's name on the rear (please see photo). The jacket is protected in a removable plastic sleeve.
Overall an excellent first edition, first print collectible.
