Dr No - Cape 1st edition/3rd print (1958) - original dust jacket
An early Cape 1st edition, 3rd impression (1958 - same year as first print) copy of Dr No, with its original unclipped dust jacket showing the price 15s. net.
The book is from a private collection – not ex-library – and is in excellent condition. The pages are crisp and bright throughout, with no foxing, tearing or creases. The only mark is a neat ownership signature on the first blank page.
The spine and binding are completely solid, and the black boards with the famous silhouetted dancing girl are clean and undamaged.
The original first-state dust jacket with the Pat Marriott artwork is unclipped and intact. There is some damage at the top and bottom of the spine (please see photo), but overall very good condition for its age.
