Very rare - Cape 1st edition (1965) "The Book of Bond" in original dust jacket
A rare Cape 1st edition copy of The Book of Bond (or, Every Man His Own 007) in its original dust jacket.
This light-hearted 1965 book was written by Kingsley Amis using the pseudonym Lt-Col William "Bill" Tanner, who was M's fictional chief of staff in Fleming's novels.
The cover design is by Raymond Hawkey, and this first edition copy has a reversible dust wrapper. On the reverse is The Bible to be Read as Literature. In Chapter 4 of Goldfinger, Bond hides his Walther PPK in a hollowed out copy this book.
The book itself is in very good condition, with bright and crisp pages that have no tears. The binding is solid and the lettering down the spine is clean and bright.
The dust jacket is price clipped and has some creasing, but is completely intact with only very minor nicks at the head and base of the spine.
Overall a rare and highly collectible book for Bond fans. Any questions or for more photos please contact email@example.com
